My grandkids have never met their grandfather. He passed away before they were born. But that does not stop them from asking about what their grand-dad was like or why he had plates of painted children lined up on a ledge around the kitchen ceiling.
I decided to make a photo memory book of my late husband--for the sake of the grandkids. I started with his baby pictures and placed old photos, school report cards, letters, concert tickets, anything I could find to paint a portrait of someone they had never known.
The whole process was therapeutic for me and I know that the finished product--a memory book about a life-- will be magical for the kids.
The pages are growing every week, but I am not done. I don't really want it to end. Not yet!
